Student: How do I use the activity completion check boxes to track my progress in my course?
You will learn how to use Activity completion to monitor your progress in your course - provided your instructor has enabled Activity completion/Completion tracking.
This guide applies to TITANium 2019-2020.
Enter your course in TITANium.
Upon entering your course in TITANium, do you see check boxes along the right-hand side of the page? If so, then Completion tracking has been enabled for your course.
As you complete various activities, you can check the boxes to mark your progress in the course.
The boxes will remain checked or unchecked each time you re-enter the course. If you make a mistake, you can always uncheck a box.
With some Activities you might not be able to check the box.
Note that the check box to the right of the forum (in this example) has a dashed line not a solid line. This indicates that the student cannot check the box, they must instead meet whatever requirements the instructor has placed on that activity. Then, the box will be automatically checked.
Types of requirements to complete an activity.
In the case of an activity, the following requirements for completion can be set (the requirement settings options differ by activity type):
Require view: The student must view the activity to complete it.
Require grade: The student must receive a grade to complete it.
Require passing grade: The instructor must first set the grade to pass this activity, then the student must achieve that grade or better, or exhaust all allowed attempts.
Require posts: The student must create a given number of posts.
Require discussions: The student must create a given number of discussions.
Requires replies: The student must reply to a post a given number of times.
As a student, you do not know which requirements an instructor has set for any given activity. That is something that the instructor must explain.
