Student: What is a "running total" in the gradebook?

You will learn that the default setting on the Grades/Gradebook for your course in TITANium is set to display a "running total" and that the running total will update each time an assignment is graded.

This guide has been updated for TITANium 2019-2020.

1. Enter your course in TITANium.

2. Click on Grades in the Nav drawer.

Grades link is selected.

3. The student grades will now display in the User report.

The sample User report below has the default setting of showing a running total. When you look at your grades, your User report may look significantly different, as the instructor can choose which information to show and which information to hide.

The Course total row only aggregates the grade items that are not empty.

This course obviously has more than 110 points worth of assignments; however, only the three graded assignments show up in the Course total.

4. As each assignment is graded, the running total will update.

The Course total has updated from 102 to 187 and the Range has updated from 110 to 210 by having "1st Draft of Paper #1" graded with 85 points.
