Student: How do I upload a file for an Assignment?

You will learn how to upload a document file for an assignment in your course in TITANium. The Assignment activity is a very commonly used activity within online courses.

1. Enter your course in TITANium.

3. Click on the title of the assignment.

4. Read and follow the instructions.

These sample instructions also include a PDF file to download and read.

5. Scroll down to the Submission status section.

The Submission status section will display the following information:

Submission status will display whether the assignment has been attempted or not. Currently it states "No attempt".

Grading status will display whether the assignment has been graded or not.

Due date will list the due date and time if that feature has been set by the instructor.

Time remaining will display how many days and hours are left before the assignment due date and time.

Last modified displays when you last updated your assignment submission. If set by your instructor, you will be able to submit your file more then one time. For example, if you submit, then notice a typo, you can edit the paper and resubmit.

Submission comments shows a text line by line comments between you and the instructor, if enabled by the instructor.

6. Click on Add submission when you are ready.

7. Drag and drop your document file.

Note: The maximum file size is 100 MB unless the instructor has set the maximum size for smaller.

If your instructor has specified a specific file type, link DOC, DOCX, or PDF, then you will not be able to submit any other type of file.

8. Copy/Paste text if needed.

If the assignment includes text, then type or copy/paste the text into the textbox.

9. Click on Save changes.

10. The Submission status section will update.

In this sample assignment, the instructor set the assignment, so that students can update their submission by clicking on the Edit submission button at the bottom of the Submission status section.

10.1. Click on Edit submission.

You must re-submit before the Cut-off deadline. Or, if it is after the cut-off deadline, you must ask your instructor for an extension.

10.2. Once the cutoff deadline has passed, you can no longer change your submission.
