How do I add the Lesson activity?

You will learn how to add the Lesson activity to your course in TITANium. The Lesson activity module can be used to create a self-directed learning experience, a case study scenario with varied outcomes, practice questions with review of content, a linear set of content pages, content with comprehension questions, etc.. A score for the lesson can be recorded in Grades.

Follow these steps to create a case study using the Lesson activity module.

1. Enter your course.

2. Turn editing on.

3. Click on Add resource or activity.

4. Select Lesson.

5. Click on Add.

6. Settings for the Lesson

6.1. Type a Name and Description.

Keep in mind that the Lesson activity module has a lot of options which can be chosen to create the type of learning experience that you want for your students. Only the settings which will be changed are mentioned; otherwise, use the default settings.

6.10. Expand the Grade section.

6.15. Click on Save and display.

7. Creating the Lesson pages.

7.1. Click on Add a content page.

The Content page acts as a table of contents or as an introduction page.

7.2. Type a Page title and Page contents.

7.3. Check the two boxes beneath the Page contents.

Arrange content buttons and display in menu are checked.

7.4. Expand the Content 1 section.

7.5. Type a Description.

7.6. Select Next page for Jump.

Jump is set to Next page.

7.7. Click on Save page.

Save page button is selected.

7.8. In the Actions column, select Question.

7.9. Type a Page title and Page contents.

Page title field is selected.

7.10. Fill in the information for each Answer and give points to the correct choice.

7.11. Save page.

7.12. Add the remaining Question pages.

For the final Question page, be sure to select for each answer to go to the End of lesson. Otherwise, the Lesson will never end.
