How do I create a backup of my course? (Academic Year 2018-2019)
You will learn how to use the Backup tool to make a backup file of your course in TITANium. This file can later be used to make a duplicate of your course (or portions of it), or to restore this course in case you later accidentally delete some resource or activity.
Follow these steps in TITANium 3.4 for the 2018-2019 academic year.
1. Enter your course from 2018-2019 academic year
Since the individual instructor sandbox course is not backed up automatically for instructors, this guide will use a Sandbox-type course as a sample.
2. Click on the Gear icon.
3. Select the Backup link.
4. Click on Jump to final step.
The Include enrolled users checkbox should be deselected by default.
If you do not want to include blocks, filters, calendar events, or the question bank, you can deselect them as desired.
If you want to only backup individual items (files, activities, resources, etc., you can click on Next instead of Jump to final step.
5. Click on Continue
Wait for the backup process to complete. Depending on the amount of content included in the backup, it may take several seconds.
6. Scroll down to the User private backup area
The most recently backed up course file will be at the top of the list.
7. Click on Download
The file will be downloaded to your computer. This file can then be used to upload to a 2019-2020 academic year instance of TITANium.
If you do have any H5P activities in your course, you will need to download them individually.
Follow this guide on downloading H5P activities.
You have now learned how to create and download a backup file for your course in the 2018-2019 academic year (TITANium 3.4).
